2008 SASHA BELLA FUND WALK FOR SICKKIDS HOSPITAL | |
| A BIG THANKS to the more than 500 donors who raised over $50,000.00 for family-centred care initiatives
at Sickkids Hospital and all those who joined us for the walk and fun day on a very hot June day!
After short welcomes from family and a long time Sickkids volunteer, we walked through shady Cedarvale Ravine and then returned to the amazing Sho Mo + The Monkey Bunch, bouncy castles, carnival snacks and drinks, a Healthy Butcher BBQ and delicious melon soup from Ravi Soups, face painting, silent auction results and wrap up raffle. 2008 Walk CommitteeThe tremendous success of the event owes so much to the planning of Evette Goldhar, Alison Goldman, Lisa Singer, Pamela Stein, Raina Stein. Over more than 6 months this dedicated committee found acts, event sponsors, silent auction and raffle donors, arranged concessions, permits and delivery and arrived bright and early on the day to setup. The team had fun, ran with inevitable hiccups beautifully and stayed all the way through cleanup. Thank you so much gals! Thanks also to the advance team of Chris, Peter, Bryan, Saurav and Zara who got up at 5am to check the grounds and wait for the truck. Good thing as a sofa and pile of garbage had recently been dumped where the registration table was to be setup. |
